Yes, I did it. And yes, it was edible.
I just melted the chocolate, added coconut shreds, spreaded on the foil, laid the fern frond on and put into the fridge until it got hard again. I served it in the way shown in the photo.
All the guests (and hosts too) tried it and told that fern did not disturb. It tasted like chocolate, not like a salad. You must know that only young sprouts of fern are edible, keep it in mind while choosing a frond you're going to eat!
