{Cherry cherry lady} ice cream recipe

Recently I've been making ice-cream almost everyday. Making ice ream often in on my list, but I made something more - I started experimenting with different recipes and already have one that I like the most. Basic recipe comes from a cookbook I got with  ice-cream machine and originally it's strawberry ice cream recipe.

Served with a chocolate cookie and cherry syrup makes a perfect dessert!
 Basic recipe I started with:
200g (7 oz.) fresh cherries (stoned)
70g (2 1/2 oz.) sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 egg yolk
175cc (6 1/4 fl. oz) milk
50 cc (1 3/4 fl. oz) cream
Puree cherries with the lemon juice and the milk. Beat the egg yolk with sugar. Whip the cream until almost stiff. Combine it all making sure everything is thoroughly mixed. Put into ice-cream machine or freezer.

What I've changed?
Mainly proportions, units (everything in grammes), replaced lemon juice with sour cream and generally my recipe makes a bigger portion. And of course for me this one is better.

My recipe:
250g fresh cherries (stoned)
70g sugar
140g cream
100g sour cream
1 big egg yolk
Puree cherries with the sour cream. Beat the egg yolk with sugar. Whip the cream until it's stiff. Combine and put into ice-cream machine or freezer.

NOTE: Both mixture have very good consistency and ice-cream machine is not really needed. I tried making both simply putting to an ice-cream mould and to the freezer and they were as delicious as those made in the machine. I encourage you to try both (as we have cherry season now) and decide which one is better for you!

NOTE2: If the mixture has too intensive taste for you, you can change it by adding some water to it. I tried, it works that way too.

NOTE 3: I really enjoy my summer list. It encourages me to make much more than I wrote down everytime.

Have a beautiful day,
Julia
